The Man Who Came to Dinner Rehearsal, January 2009

Channel 22 produces a series which highlights shows in production at Sun City Grand called "Backstage at Grand." Following are clips from their taping of a rehearsal of The Man Who Came to Dinner. This play was on stage from January 22 through 25, 2009.

1. In this first video segment are interviews with the Director, Al Lombardos, as well as Drama and Comedy Club President, Tom Piemme, and a scene featuring: Don Stewart as the irascible Sheridan Whiteside; Paula McKenny as Whiteside's secretary, Maggie Cutler; Steve Murphy as local newspaperman, Bert Jefferson; and Bill Stollar as Professor Adolph Metz who has just arrived to pay Whiteside a visit.

2. This segment features Don Stewart as Sheridan Whiteside; Paula McKenny as Maggie Cutler; and Len Justin as actor Beverly Carlton who is also visiting Whiteside.

3. This segment again includes Don Stewart as Whiteside; Paula McKenny as Maggie; and Dianne White as actress Lorraine Sheldon who is also visiting Whiteside.

4. This last segment features: Don Stewart as Whiteside; Gale Leach as Whiteside's nurse, Miss Preen; and Larry Manne as Whiteside's actor friend, Banjo, a character patterned after Harpo Marx.
