CAST PARTY PROTOCOL
SCG Drama & Comedy Club
The theme of the cast party will be the Director's choice. The Hospitality Committee will ensure that the theme, décor and food is in line with the Director's vision. Hospitality will staff the party and handle all setups and service. It will be the Producer's responsibility to oversee all aspects to ensure the work meets expectations.
The Producer will be the host of the cast party and invite all present to dinner. Traditionally, the backstage crew goes first, followed by the remainder of the attendees. After the completion of the meal, the President will be asked to the podium to say a few words to the assembled.
The Producer will return to the microphone to thank and gift all those associated with the production. The show's playbill will be the guide to ensure that those who gave of their time and effort are acknowledged. When the process is completed, a designated cast member may come forward to thank the Director, Producer, and Stage Manager(s).
